I once kept a Bielefelder Kennehuhn chicken for a few months. This well-tempered breed is very hardy and adjusts quickly to new environments. It produces consistently large eggs. However, the maturation process is relatively slow. Because of its large body, it requires much more food than other chicken breeds.
